Fort Lauderdale and Toronto are bound together by business and by the seasons. Every autumn, Torontonians head south to their Broward homes for the winter, and every spring they return; in between, executives move between Bay Street and Las Olas week after week.
Dominic & Atlas arranges nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale’s private terminals and Toronto, with Canadian border clearance, ground transportation and seasonal moves planned as one seamless journey.
Airport & FBO
We fly from Fort Lauderdale Executive (FXE), minutes from Las Olas, Coral Ridge and the Galt Ocean Mile, or from the private terminals at Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International (FLL) for Harbor Beach, Hollywood and southern Broward. Clients further north can depart from Boca Raton (BCT).
Pearson is Toronto’s main gateway for private jets of every size, with dedicated business aviation terminals separate from the airline halls and Canadian customs handled on site. The drive downtown or to Yorkville typically takes 25 to 45 minutes depending on traffic, and the airport is well placed for Oakville, Mississauga and King City.
On the Toronto Islands, Billy Bishop puts you minutes from the Financial District. Jets are not permitted there, so it is an option for clients travelling by turboprop, such as a Pilatus PC-12 or King Air, who value the downtown arrival over a longer flight time.
For clients wintering in South Florida, we plan the autumn move south and the spring return in advance, with aircraft sized for luggage, golf clubs and pets, and the house ready on arrival.
Every passenger needs a valid passport, and some nationalities also need a Canadian Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). We arrange advance notice to the Canada Border Services Agency and U.S. customs clearance for the return to Florida.
Aircraft recommendation
| Detail | Approx. value |
|---|---|
| Distance | About 1,050 nautical miles |
| Flight time to Pearson (YYZ) | 2 hr 45 min – 3 hr 15 min |
| Nonstop jets | Light, midsize or super-midsize jet (for example Phenom 300, Citation XLS, Challenger 350) |
| Billy Bishop (YTZ) | Turboprops only, such as a Pilatus PC-12 or King Air, with a longer flight time |
Most light jets fly the route nonstop with a modest party. For a seasonal move with full luggage, a midsize or super-midsize cabin gives space for everything to travel with you.
